DATE: Victorian, c.1880

An utterly fantastic Victorian signet ring set with a no heat Ceylon sapphire, intaglio carved with a full coat of arms. The sapphire is faceted to the reverse, and is GCS certified at 5.59 carats, mounted in a circa 1880s 18k gold mount. The shield is home to a horse, and rests under a knight's helm with ornate ribbon embellishment all around it. It's rare to find a such a special piece.
